- Vehicle Overview
1956 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud I Chassis Number: SZB109 Registration Number: SXV 978 Offered for sale here by Iconic Collection is a wonderful example of a 1956 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud I. Finished in Midnight Blue (with dual red coach-lines), along with a beautifully presented burgundy leather interior, this particular Silver Cloud I has some prominent ownership under its belt. It was delivered new to Ronald Shiner in July 1956, a man famous for his comedic film appearances during the Second World War, as well as on stage at the West End. Mr. Shiner kept the Silver Cloud I for three years, after which it has enjoyed ownership in the loving care of eight successors, with the most recent owner acquiring the car in 2005. Under the latter's tenure, the car underwent a massive £8,000-plus refurbishment in 2016, including, but by no means limited to, the following: - Complete overhaul of the hydraulics, the brakes, the fuel tank, the gearbox, the carburetors, the exhaust system, the power steering - Replacement of both front springs and all four tires - Repair of the two horns - Complete chassis clean and repaint In addition to this tremendously in-depth 2016 overhaul, the vehicle has been subjected to a previous complete interior strip-out and refurbishment. Two factory options included on this 1956 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud I are a maroon carpet in the boot to match the floor of the car, and Dunlop White-sided tubeless tires, both of which are in very good order indeed. The grand history file is packed with scores of invoices, totaling many thousands of pounds, describing in great depth the work done to this Silver Cloud I to ensure the fabulous condition it is presented in today. This is certainly a golden opportunity to acquire such a marvelous example of a Rolls Royce Silver Cloud I. The vehicle is available for immediate viewing at our showroom.
